Joey Gene Bradford, 62, of Gurley, AL born December 31, 1962 and Gained his angel wings on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Bradford; and son, Alan Bradford.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Bradford of 32 years; children, Eric Bradford, Michael Reynolds, and Sonya Byrd (Shane); grandchildren, Brandle, Heaven, Jay, Devon, and Raven Reynolds, Bella and Hunter Byrd, Braeden and Kenslee Turner; great-grandchildren, Ava, Brooklyn, and Oakley; mother, Shirley (Jerry) Davis; siblings, Vickie Seals, Donald Bradford (Barbara), and Janice Bradford Lobell (Karl); as well as nieces and nephews. He as well had a lot of cousins.
Joey worked as a painter for many years and on the side as he loved to do. He also worked as a custodian at Madison County Elementary School for 26 years prior to retiring. While working at the school, he made a lot of friends and a lot of the kids looked up to him as he taught them a few things about cleaning up after themselves and exactly how to do it. He loved to fish, play guitar, and drink a cold one. He enjoyed spending time with family as much as he could. He would talk for hours on the phone with his siblings, he would tell stories from years past to anyone that would listen, and he would sit and enjoy some good music. He’s loved by so many family, friends, and our school community.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th, from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a service immediately following at 2:00 P.M. officiated by Sam Gulley. Burial will take place at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Randall and Brandon Harville, Austin Hughes, Kris Henderson, George Bolding, Tristun Rorem.
