George Ann Sapcut-Browning  In the early hours of February 16, 2025, George Ann Sapcut’s spirit ascended, leaving
behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

George Ann was born to Fay Ann Woodard and George Emmett Sapcut in Claremore,
Oklahoma. She was a bold, boisterous, and eccentric soul whose contagious laughter and magnetic personality lit up every room she entered. To make her acquaintance was a privilege; to be called her friend meant you were in for an adventure like no other.

She was a devoted mother, GG, community volunteer, traveler, and the ultimate event
hostess— always ensuring that those around her felt welcome and cherished. Her vibrant spirit and generosity touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved spouse and partner, Michael Browning; her children, Lauren Mitchell (daughter) and Jaxon Browning (son); and siblings: Richard Sapcut, Joseph Giddens, and Lisa Zier and thirteen grandchildren.

A celebration of George Ann’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 26, at 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, AL, followed by a reception at BB Perrins in Decatur, AL, at 7:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Morgan County Animal
Shelter, honoring her love and care for animals.

George Ann’s legacy of joy, adventure, and unwavering kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
