Clyde Ronlee Pruitt, age 83 of Haleyville, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Hendrix Health and Rehab in Double Springs. He was born on March 9, 1941, to Jess and Eva Pruitt. Clyde loved to spend his time hunting, fishing, and going to flea markets. He was an Alabama football fan. He served in the Army from 1964-1966. More than anything, however, Clyde loved spending time with his family. A visitation will be held Monday, February 17, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. A funeral service will follow, starting at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Maxwell Chapel Cemetery. Brother Dylan Scott will officiate. Clyde is survived by his daughters, Loretta Plemmons, and Emily (Zach) Pruitt; sons, Ricky (Tammy) Pruitt, Darrin (Amy) Pruitt, and Randy Pruitt; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Riddle; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanie Pruitt; sons, Dan Pruitt, Barry Pruitt, and Kenny Pruitt; son-in-law, Stephen Plemmons; and several siblings.
