James Robert Thrasher, 72, of Decatur, passed away on February 10, 2025.
A dedicated firefighter, James devoted his life to protecting and serving his community with courage, strength, and selflessness. His bravery and unwavering commitment to helping others left an enduring impact, not only on those he served but also on the many lives he touched along the way.
Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to celebrate his life during a visitation on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home, followed by a service in his honor. He will be laid to rest at Johnson Chapel Cemetery, where his legacy will live on.
Though James is no longer with us, his spirit of service, love, and dedication will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him. His life was one of purpose and sacrifice, and his memory will continue to inspire generations to come.
