Jerry Winkler Mr. Jerry Wayman Smoot Winkler, age 77, of McMinnville, TN passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 08, 2025 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born in McMinnville, TN on May 06, 1947, was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Jerry was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church, a retiree of A.O. Smith, and a retiree of Quality Mold Shop. Mr. Winkler was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd David Winkler and Dorothy Smoot Winkler and by his brother Wayne Winkler.

 

Jerry is survived by his wife Louise Boles Winkler, children Scott (Lisa) Winkler, Stacey Winkler, Lisa Seals, Karen (Floyd) Bouldin, Julie Hillis, and Michael (Heather) Boles, brother David (Kathleen) Owen, grandchildren Megan (Evan) Johnson, Luke Winkler, Robby Jones, Micah (Heather) Seals, Tristain Boles, Maxine Bouldin, Aaren (Lauren) Bouldin, Matt Long, Trevor Long, Alex Hillis, Lavica Boles, Lauren Boles, Khloe Boles, and Louisa (Dakota) Bouldin, great grandchildren Ralston Watson, Aspyn Jones, Everly Seals, Isla Basham, Cameron Long, and one great grandchild on the way.

 

The funeral service for Jerry Winkler is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 13, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Harlen Simmons will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Military Grave Rites will be administered by U.S.M.C. Bobby Ray Detachment and the Marine Corp League. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
