Shirley Watwood, age 82 of Haleyville, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born on October 9, 1942, to Luther and Lucille Whitehead. Shirley enjoyed sewing, quilting, and painting. She loved her church congregation and tending to her flowers, but most of all, Shirley loved caring for her family and spending time with them. Shirley was survived by her daughter, Patsy (Steve) Wakefield; sons, Buddy (Melanie) Martin, and Darrel Martin; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Odom; parents, Luther and Lucille Whitehead; brothers, Robert Jr. Whitehead and Frankie Whitehead; and sister Carolyn Adams.
