Ms. Wilma Sharlene Whittaker-Townsend, born on October 22, 1936, passed away on February 2, 2025.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Village View United Methodist Church, located at 331 Hine Street S, Athens, AL 35611 with Pastor Robert Malone officiating. Ms. Whittaker-Townsend will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Following the service, interment will take place at Thatch-Mann Cemetery, South Hobbs Road, Athens, AL 35611.
