Carolyn Ann Wellington Fretwell, age 71, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, February 02, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Carolyn Ann Wellington Fretwell, age 71, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, February 02, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.Carolyn was a natural caregiver. She always was a hard worker to provide for her children and she always tried to take care of everyone else also. She was a member of North Russellville Baptist Church. Carolyn was a great cook, had a green thumb and could grow anything, and loved watching Matt Dillion in Gunsmoke, and loved her fur-baby, Socks. She loved her children and especially her grandchildren. Many wonderful memories have been made with Carolyn and everyone who knew her will miss her.
She is survived by her children, LaShawn Fortuna (Manuel), James Wellington (LaShae), Kayla Wellington; grandchildren, Abraham Mojica, Adriana Mojica (Sunil), Marisela Batz, Brody Wellington, Gracie Wellington, Natalie Coronado, Jack Wellington, Abby Coronado, Kloe Coronado; great-grandchildren, Mateo Jones, Malia Jones; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Wellington, Charles Fretwell; parents, Clinton & Mae Jackson; and brother, Elvis Jackson.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 05, 2025, at North Russellville Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Bro. Jason Swinney officiating the service. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Billy Wellington, Darryl Streetman, Jerrod McKinney, Randy Parrish, Clark Jones, Max Dominguez, Max McCalpin, Don Garrett, and David Kimbril.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Greta and Michelle and the staff of North Alabama Hospice for your love and care of our mother. We also want to thank everyone for their prayers and support shown during her illness.
