Frankie Charles Tomlinson, born October 22, 1949, in Starkville, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2025. He passed peacefully at home after a lengthy illness at the age of 75.
He was the son of the late Charlie Homer Tomlinson and Laura Mae Fondren, brother of the late Peggy Phillips, and loving husband of 56 years to Pamela Sherman Tomlinson.
He is survived by his wife, sons Robert W. Tomlinson and Michael J. Tomlinson (Terri), grandchildren Marshall L Tomlinson (Faith) of Cleveland, MS, Kylee and Marley Tomlinson of Crawford, MS, and great-grandchildren Lillien Scout and Eleanor Tomlinson of Cleveland, MS.
Frankie retired from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and finally answered the call that he had for many years to preach the word of the Lord. He was ordained by Bethesda Baptist Church in 2005 and then pastored Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church for seven years.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Bethesda Baptist Church in Crawford, MS, immediately followed by a graveside service in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Marshall Tomlinson, Mike Fondren, Sidney Fondren, William Sherman, Tim Buffum, and Steve Tomlinson.
