Nicholas Shane “Nickie” Voorhies, lifelong resident of Columbia, Tennessee, died on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the age of 55 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Steven Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Potts Voorhies Morris of Columbia; sister, Michelle (David) Fuller of Columbia; nieces and nephews, James Brendan Voorhies, Rebecca Huffstetler, Aaron Fuller, Samantha Voorhies, Alissa Fuller, Savannah Voorhies, and Austin Voorhies; and several great nieces and nephews and cousins; two step-brothers, Johnny Voorhies and Joseph Voorhies; two aunts, Mary McClanahan and Marguerite Voorhies; and a uncle, Randy Lee Krenz.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Layne Voorhies; step-father, William Morris and twin brother, Dickie Voorhies on August 28, 2023.
Active pallbearers will be Brendan Voorhies, David Fuller, Aaron Fuller, Mike Mills, Randy Krenz and Paul Williams.
