Vivian Brinson Love, 78, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on January 23, 2025.
Vivian was born on August 2, 1946 in Haleyville, Alabama, to parents. Virginia and Corbit Flanagin.
She is survived by: her husband, Donald (Don) Love of Birmingham; her children Robert (Bobby) Harrington Brinson II and wife Allison of Haleyville, and James Christian Brinson and partner Elsa Sorenson of Atlanta.
Vivian is also survived by her grandchildren: Ally Brinson and fiancé Jacob Woodard of Birmingham, Katey Beck, and Jacob Brinson and partner Meagan Jenkins of Arley.
Vivian graduated from Haleyville High School in 1964 and went on to attend Northwest Junior College. She then moved to Atlanta and became a flight attendant for US Air. Vivian was assigned as flight attendant to the Auburn Basketball team, making headlines in the Auburn newspaper as the team’s “favorite flight attendant ever!”
After retiring from the skies, Vivian went on to own and operate a consignment store, The Elegant Orchid, and worked in Public Policy with the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce. When she wasn’t working, she and Don enjoyed their time dancing, winning quite a few ballroom dance awards.
Vivian made up for her petite stature with her vivacious personality, impeccable style, and larger-than-life love for her family and pets. One of her proudest roles was that of grandmother- never missing an opportunity to share her grandchildren’s accomplishments.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, followed by funeral service at 1 p.m.
