F.1.18.25 Dwight Love.jpg Dwight Ernest Love, age 76, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Helen Keller Hospital

Dwight proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Reynolds & Wise Aluminum. He was his boys’ hero, and they strive to be half the man he was. If you knew him, you know he was a man of God always spreading the word. He was a pastor at Charity Chapel, a husband of 53 years, a good daddy, and an awesome pawpaw. He loved his wife, his family, and most of all, he loved his Lord. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is in heaven and now knows with absolute clarity what we sing about, pray for, and vaguely understand. Such a loss for his family and friends, but we know there is rejoicing in Heaven. Until we meet again, we love you.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Anna Lois (Williamson) Love; brothers, John Love, Joe Love; mother-in-law, Rachel Harrison; in-laws, Dale Shook, Robert Shook, Naomi Creasy, and Twana Kilpatrick.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 53 years, Susan Love; sons, Chris Love, Michael Love; grandchildren, Mikey Love, Sammy Love, Megan Ireland; grandson of the heart, Aiden Stone; special mother of his grandchildren, Rebekah Quaintance; sister, Arlene Sutton (Raymond); sister-in-law, Jean Love; in-laws, Kenneth and T.J. Lindsey, John and Mattie Lee Kalmbach; special uncle, Joe Lindsey (Barbara); a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be 2:00 Monday, January 20, 2025 at Charity Chapel Church in the Crooked Oak Community. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Speaking at the funeral will be Bro. Kenneth Reed, Bro. Matthew Reed, and Bro. Raymond Sutton. The burial will be in the Crooked Oak Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Tony Love, Danny Sutton, Ken Lindsey, Tommy Lindsey, John Kalmbach, Jr., Adam Kalmbach, Zack Lindsey, and Bob Shook. The honorary pallbearer will be the men of the church.

After his funeral and burial, everyone is invited to eat and fellowship with the family at the home of Kenneth Lindsey, 7440 Waterloo Road, Russellville.
