Mr. Dannie Lynn Bowling, age 78, of the Pine Ridge community of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 at Falkville Health & Rehab. Dannie was born in Marshall County, AL on July 18, 1946. His parents were Lynn (Goat) Bowling and Mildred McDaniel Bowling. He was married to Kathleen Anthony Bowling for 38 years and worked as an Installation/manager in the heating and air conditioning industry.
Dannie was an American Quarter horse enthusiast. He owned many of the breed during his lifetime and trained and showed several at area horse shows. He thoroughly enjoyed his horses but he also enjoyed working his coon dogs. Dannie was also a master breeder and exhibitor of BB Red Bantam chickens.
Family members surviving Dannie include his wife, Kathleen Anthony Bowling; sons and daughters in law, Nathan Lynn and Kathryn Bowling, Chris and Christine Mullins; grandson, Anthony Lynn Bowling (Kristen), Mandy Bowling (Dara) and Zachary; great grandchildren, Theo, Ariel, Aubri Grace and Cayson Trent; great great grandchildren, Jackson, Kayden, Carter and Langston; brother, Harlan Van Bowling; and niece, Jana.
Preceding Dannie in death includes his parents, Lynn and Mildred Bowling; son, Johnathan
Graham Bowling; and sister, Janate “Jan” Bowling Lawson.
The family has elected cremation. A memorial service will be announced when arrangements are completed.
