Mrs. Mable K. Bishop, age 78, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was a Loving wife and mother, and a member of Skyline Church of God where she taught Sunday School. She was a retired school teacher from Skyline High School and sang in 3 different gospel groups.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan J. Bishop; sons, Keith (Betty) Bishop, John Bishop; grandchildren, Courtney (Jason) Guger, Kayla (Justin) Welsh, Laura Beth (Christopher) Doss, Caitlin Bishop, Haley (Justin) McElyea, Sarah (Gavin) Sargent; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Jones, Shirley, (Lloyd) Scott; and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents L.S. and Leona Knopps; brothers, Virgil and Teddy Knopps.
Funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Webber, and Rev. Mickey Skipper officiating. Burial will be in Hytop Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
