Mrs. Marie Bradford 73 of Woodville, AL passed away Monday, January 2025, at her home. Marie was born on November 15, 1951 in Huntsville, AL to Elmus Walker “Buck” Majors and Dorothy Barker Majors.
Marie was a member of the Holiness Church over 54 years and the last several years a member of Big Cove Holiness Church. She received the Holy Ghost on March 14, 1970. She graduated from Sparkman High School in 1970. Marie worked at Meadow Gold Dairy for several years. She also worked at two legal offices–this was her favorite job. Although Marie had no children of her own, after her step-mother died, she devoted her life to raising her younger brother Kelly. He was 11 years old at that time. Marie married Roy on May 29, 1992. She enjoyed the many trips they made together to Gatlinburg, TN, and to the beach. Marie enjoyed baking wedding cakes and performing all kinds of crafts.
Marie was survived by her husband, Roy, and brother Elmus “Orman” Majors (Diane), brother Dewey “Lynn” Majors (Sherry), brother “Terry” Majors (Renee) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved very much all of her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their families.
Marie was preceded in death by her father Elmus Walker “Buck” Majors, mother Dorothy Barker Majors, step-mother Bobbie Jewel Gamble Majors, sister Rosa Faye Majors Dupree (Orville), and brother Kelly Walker Majors.
She will be truly missed by everyone.
Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Warren, and Bro. Josh Trottman officiating. Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
