David Joseph Ruder, age 56, of Haleyville, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at North Alabama Medical Center. David was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 8, 1968. He was smart, intelligent and clever. David loved old movies, camping, fishing and kayaking. He was strong willed, loved football and was a dog lover. He was a hard working family man and spent a lot of time with the grandkids. No public services will be held. David is survived by his wife, Denise Dawn Ruder; children, Nicole Ruder (Jacob Basenberg), Felicia Talis (Cody Ballard), Faith Ruder, and Richard Talis; father, Edward Ruder (Doreen); mother, Bertha Hurst (Robert); brothers, Edward Ruder, Jr. (Marisa), Wesley Ruder; sister, Lynn Delinekas (Andreas); brother in law, Bill Scarbrough; grandchildren, Carter Basenberg, Adam Talis, Victoria Talis, Haley Talis, Axeton Ballard, Karson Butler, D.J. Butler, and Loryn Hope; godmother, Roxanne Aleman; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his uncle and godfather, Richard Aleman; special cousin, John Kopischke; and Grandma Tillie Rinker.
