Louis Daniel “Dano” Raines, 64, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 11, 1960 in Hamilton, OH and was the son of L.D. and Louise Raines. He graduated Amory High School in 1979 and he had lived in St. Petersburg, FL for many years before returning to the Amory area. He was a long time employee of Peopleloungers in Nettleton. He always looked forward to spending holidays with his cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Boggan Cemetery.
He is survived by his caregiver, Kerry Jackson of Hattiesburg; cousins, Rick and Daniel Moreland, Donald Moreland (Mary), Doris Fay Bucci, and Tommy Gann; good friends, Lisa Stevens, Philip, Jack, and Van Pearson, Dee Smith, Vicky Hendricks, Steve Miller, and Terry Cagle; and a host of other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1 until the service hour.
