Jack Emmitt Schallock, infant son of Marcus and Emily Schallock, passed peacefully on December 29, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center Women’s Hospital in the arms of his loving parents. Although his time on Earth was brief, these moments shared with Jack will remain forever in the hearts of his parents and family until they hold him in Heaven once again.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin brother, Rhett Schallock and his sister, Sophie Schallock, all of Belmont, MS; his paternal grandparents James and Crystal Schallock of Blue Springs, MS; his maternal grandparents, Buddy and Peggy Wiltshire of Belmont, MS; his paternal great-grandparents, Mack and Donna Fleming of Fulton, MS and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Allen and Glenda Schallock, Rhudy Wilemon, George and Nancy Wiltshire and Hoyt and Betty Webster.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Belmont City Cemetery with Bro. Earl McAnally officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS, will be in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, Marcus and Emily request that, if able, please donate a new children’s book in memory of Jack and in honor of Rhett to the North Mississippi Health Services NICU “Babies with Books” program, a service that provides a new book for all NICU patients and their families. These may be dropped off at the front desk at NMMC Women’s Hospital, 4566 South Eason Boulevard, Tupelo, MS, or given to the family.
