Glenn Edward Lang, 89, of Athens, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
Glenn was born on Sunday, August 11, 1935, to Mr. Hubert Lee Lang and Mrs. Lydia P. Henderson Lang in Mooresville, Alabama
Mr. Lang spent a majority of his life in Athens, Alabama, where he was a plant administrator, and he retired from IBM.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, of 57 years, Mrs. Joyce Ann Melson Lang. Glenn was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church; he also was involved with TRIAD through the Sherriff’s Department.
Glenn was preceded in death by both of his parents, two brothers: Robert Lang and Carlos Lang, one sister; Mavine Springer, and one grandson; Mason Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Lang, four daughters; Angelia Parker, Janey (Larry) Swanner, Sabrina (David) Green, and Crystal Lang, one brother; Ernest Lang, one sister; Phyllis Ann, two grandchildren; Kelsey (Clay) Norman and Ryan (Taylor) Green, two great grandchildren; Denver Norman and Aaliyah Bailey.
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 12:00 PM (NOON) to 1:00 PM. A chapel service will follow directly afterwards at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, Alabama. Bro. Toney Boyles will officiate the service.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
