William C. Owen, age 84, of Winchester, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester. He was born on August 17, 1940, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Andrew and Luella Wheeler Owen. William graduated from the University of Tennessee, leading him to start his career as an engineer for AEDC for the past 38 years. He was a passionate golfer, and he dedicated countless weekends to perfecting his swing and sharing laughter with friends and family on the course. William was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love and kindness touched all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the cherished memories of countless rounds played and the friendships forged through his love of golf. He will be missed greatly, but his passion for the game and his vibrant personality will forever remain in our hearts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan Owen; children, Timothy Owen and Seth Owen; and brother, Frank Owen. He is survived by his son, Andrew (Lynn) Owen; stepdaughter, Laura “Laurie” Brooks; grandchildren, Ashley (Wesley) Kilgore, Drew (Aspen) Owen, Sheldon Owen, Raegan Owen, Grant Owen, Curt (Chelsie) Owen, and Matt (Corey) Owen; step-grandchildren, David Brooks and Dillon Brooks; great-grandchildren, Trey Kilgore, Brody Kilgore, Dax Kilgore, Asher Owen, and Roman Owen; and his loving companion, Happy.
