Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley June Young, age 85, will be held on Sunday December 22, 2024 at 1 PM in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN with James Mc Call officiating. Burial will follow in Bowers Chapel Cemetery at Brazil, TN. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 noon on Sunday December 22, 2024 until service time in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN.
Mrs. Young a Baptist by faith and a homemaker, passed away on Thursday December 19, 2024 at the Bells Nursing and Rehab Center in Bells, TN.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by: her husband Gordon Young, her parents Lodis and Zelma (Gibson) Williams, a son Tony Griggs and a sister Evelyn Hoskins.
Mr. Young is survived by: two daughters Tamela Manns and husband Dave of Humboldt, TN and Pamela Townsend and husband Jeff of Townsend, TN; a step-daughter Dana Vaughn and husband Philip of Atoka, TN; a son Philip Griggs of Friendship, TN; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
