Henry Dean Hitchcock, Jr., 82, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his home. He was very well known throughout his community for his helping nature. He was retired from Pontotoc County District 5 as well as The Market Basket in Pontotoc.
Survivors include his wife, Manie Pauline Hitchcock, his daughters, Brenda Lepard (Keith) and Paula Mitchell (Jeff), his sons, Anthony Gordon (Peggy), Eddie Gordon (Cindy), and Jackie Gordon, sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four sisters, Annie Boyce Brown (Bobby), Yvonne French, Alice Cruse, and Jean McWhirter.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Darryl Hitchcock, brother, Henry Owen Hitchcock, sisters, Lunette Wilbur and Faye Holder, mother, Alma Eva Owen, father, Henry Dean Hitchcock, Sr., brother, Gerald Dean Hitchcock, and his brothers-in-law, Jesse French and James Cruse.
Services will be 12PM Friday, December 20, 2024, at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Wayne Cobb officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Cody Drury, Curtis Gordon, Johnny Magill, Kerry Crew, Peter Wilson, and Jerry Stutsy.
