TUSCUMBIA-The tremendously popular Tuscumbia Holly Jolly Christmas Trolley will return Thursday, December 19, 2024. The trolley will depart approximately every 15-20 minutes between 5-8 pm from the Tuscumbia Roundhouse, 110 N. Indian Street, Tuscumbia for sing-a-long rides through Spring Park.
Hannah Sorrell will once again lead music for each ride.
The annual Christmas sing-a-long trolley ride is a free event hosted by the Singing River Literacy Council with the City of Tuscumbia and the Colbert Children’s Policy Council.
Each child who rides will receive a free book from Singing River Literacy Council.
“We are so excited to collaborate with the City of Tuscumbia and the Colbert County Children’s Policy Council to bring back the very popular Tuscumbia Holly Jolly Christmas Trolley,” said Dr. Lorie Johnson, president of Singing River Literacy Council. “This year we have partnered with additional groups to add more complimentary stations in the Roundhouse for kids to enjoy while they wait to ride.”
Johnson said stations will include making a Christmas ornament, playing games like bingo and corn hole, and Christmas face painting.
“We are also delighted that the Colbert County Animal Shelter will bring puppies and kittens to pet and adopt, and Smash Burger will join us to sell their burgers. We think this will be our biggest and best event ever and we invite everyone to come out and join us for this fun community event!”
