Deacon William Adams, Jr. was born on March 9,1947 to William Murray and Easter Adams. He finished his course on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Nashville VA Hospital and entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his father William Adams Sr. and sister Mary Ann Adams.
He confessed Christ and joined the St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church. He later became a member and a deacon at New Life Christian Praise and Worship Center, under the leadership of Bishop G. Calvin Boone and Overseer Denise Boone, where he diligently served as a deacon and a member supporting the church faithfully.
In his illness, he continued to testify and proclaim the goodness of God as he walked in faith. His trust was in the Lord. He was loved and adored by everyone around him.
He leaves to cherish and mourn his memory: Minister Selross Adams, wife of 57 years; mother, Easter Adams; daughter, Elder Cincerae LaChon Jackson; son, William Christopher Adams (Trina Adams); granddaughter, Channing Adams; grandsons: Tevin and Kevin Ratliff, Patrick, Jr. and Micah Jackson; a great-granddaughter, Layla Ratliff; two sisters-in-law: Alma Pettus and Patricia Sibley; and a very special childhood friend, Sammie Bone; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church (3020 Belafonte Avenue, Huntsville, AL 35816) with Bishop Calvin Boone officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mr. Adams will lie in repose thirty minutes prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
