Funeral service for Jerry Kenneth West ,62, of Somerville, will be Monday, May 06, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Vandon Winsor and The Reverend Al Dean officiating, and burial in Turney Family Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. West was born November 30, 1950, to Marvin Roy and Essie Lango West. He passed away May 03, 2013, at his residence. He was a member of the Somerville United Methodist Church . He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Fred Hatfield and Bobby Joe Hatfield. He is survived by his wife, Opal West; two sons, James Kenneth West and wife Katrinae and Eric Dwight West and wife Shannon, both of Somerville; one daughter, Stacy Lynn West McMinemon and husband Mac, of Somerville; five brothers, Marvin West, Jimmy West, Avery West, Raymond Hatfield, and Robert Hatfield; three sisters, Nancy Kent, Kathrine Smith, and Evelyn Patterson; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lance Sandlin, Anthony Laster, Shane Dooley, Mark Hatfield, Alex Kent, and Clayton Hensley.
Memorials may be made to St. Judes Hospital.
