Franklin (Frank) Monroe Cooper, aged 76, of Sturgis, MS, passed away on October 19, 2024. Born on June 3, 1948, Frank served honorably in the United States Air Force before embarking on a successful career at the Williams Company (formerly Texas Gas), where he retired as Senior Operations Technician.

Frank was a loving husband to Tessa (Lanford) Cooper, a devoted father to Frank Cooper Jr. and Chad Cooper, and a cherished father-in-law to Mary Jane (Futey) Cooper and Patricia (Young) Cooper. He was also a proud grandfather to Madison (Cooper) Hamacher and Hayden Cooper, Monroe and John Hollis Cooper, and a great-grandfather to Millie Hamacher. Frank leaves behind his sisters, Audine Haynes, Carolyn Lemons, and Wanda Denman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Lucille Cooper, and his sister, Frances Cooper.

Known for his love of the outdoors, Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed NASCAR and spending quality time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, with visitation at 2pm followed by the memorial at 3pm, located at 2029 Mchann Road, Sturgis, MS.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Frank’s commitment to fellow veterans.
