Alton E. Elrod, age 66, Hackleburg, AL passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Russellville Hospital.
The visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Hackleburg First Baptist Church, Hackleburg, AL. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Cedar Tree Cemetery, Hackleburg, AL. Officiating the service will be Bro. Fred Hartley, Bro. Bobby Joe Poss, and Bro. Larry Hill.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Ottis Elrod, and his mother Ollie Elrod Kelly; brother, Ricky Kelly, grandson, Eric Blake Harris and step-brothers, Hugh and Ray Kelly.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Elrod; daughters, Kim Palmer and David, Tammy Jones and Darrell, and Cortney McKinney and Brett; Three Step-sisters, Christine Reach, Jean Cody, and Virginia Wolfe; seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
He was the Pastor of Centerhill Baptist Church, Plantersville, MS.
