Mr. Paul W. Hebert II, age 64 of Lineville, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at his home. A memorial Service with Military Honors will be scheduled for a later date.

Mr. Hebert was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. In 8th grade, he moved to Houma, Louisiana and was a member of the swim and track team, and a graduate of Vanderbilt High School. He moved back to Lafayette to attend college before joining the Navy in 1984. During Mr. Hebert’s 20 years of Navy Service, he lived in Cuba, Spain, Italy, Egypt, and several US States during his tenure. He was ranked as an AO1, and achieved dozens of medals and ribbons, two of which he was most proud of: the N.A.M, or Navy Achievement Medal, and the Navy Accommodation Medal. In 2004 after his Naval Retirement, he moved back to the Terrebonne Parish in Louisiana, and faithfully served as the Sherriff’s Deputy of that community for 14 years, until he had to medically retire. Mr. Hebert enjoyed reading John Grisham books, was a “Parrothead”, or music fan of Jimmy Buffett, and met several famous musicians and bands during his med cruises in the Navy, including ZZ Top and Sonny Bono. Mr. Hebert never met a stranger, and was very patriotic and charitable. He thanked any veteran for their service any chance he could, and was naturally loving and giving to others.

Mr. Hebert was survived by his wife of 27 years, Phyllis M. Hebert of Lineville; four daughters: Paula Hill (Stanley) of Lineville, Jessica Bauer (Brian) of Cocoa, FL, Khrystyna Turpin (Steven) and Brandee Hammer, both of Seaford, Delaware; two sons: Kenn Rayman of Mountainburg, Arkansas and Paul W. “Trey” Hebert III of Delaware; 17 grandchildren; his mother, Ruth Prejean Hebert; three sisters: Jenny Didier (Dan), Brenda Banowetz, and Anne Marie Williams (John), all of Crowley, Louisiana; two brothers: Tim Hebert of Lafayette, LA and Alex Hebert (Melissa) of Virginia Beach, VA; plus a host of nieces and nephews, and extended family.

HE was preceded in death by his Father, Paul Wade Hebert; his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents, and three grandchildren.
