Jocye Ann Howard, 81, of Florence, Ala., passed away April 27, 2013. There will be a memorial celebration of Joyce’s life at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reed and Pearl Howard, and her brothers, Ira Muriel and Clarice Gene Howard.
She was survived by her daughter Stacy South and her husband, Steven South; granddaughter, Carrie LeeAnn South; sister in law, Sue Howard, of Mobile, Ala.; and a host of much loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joyce graduated from Colbert County High School in 1948. She retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and later worked for the Florence Police Department at the Mall Station. She was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. Additionally, she was a founding member of the Procrastinators Club.
