Archie Ruth Owen, age 82 of Hendersonville, TN passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at The Residence of Alive Hospice. She was born March 8, 1942 in Clarksville, TN to Wiley & Agnes Maybell Davis Bateman. She was a very creative person and had been the owner and operator of Flowers by Archie. She had also worked at GENESCO, American Press and the Water Bonnett. She had raised lots of children, which included tons of cooking and laundry over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Lee Owen; daughter-in-laws, Lynn Owen and Tammy Owen; brother-in-law, Ed Nicholson; grandson, Lee Owen.. She is survived by her sons, Kenny Owen, White House, TN, Bobby Owen, Portland, TN, and Boyce Owen, Hendersonville, TN; daughters, Gennie “Sister” Fox, Greenbrier, TN, Sharon Owen, Portland, TN and Karen Crabtree, Hendersonville, TN; sister, Mary Sue Nicholson, Springfield, TN; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Dan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Monday, August 19, 2024 4-8PM and Tuesday, August 20, 2024 10AM-1PM at the funeral home.
