Janice Price Cody, age 65, of Sheffield, passed away August 4, 2024. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Florence. The service will be Thursday, August 8, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with O’Neal Price officiating and burial following in Odem Chapel Cemetery in St. Joseph Tennessee.
Janice was preceded in death by husband, James Cody; son, Daniel Cody; parents, brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Tim Cody, Lori Griffin (Melissa); and stepson, Josh Pendergrass. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Jasmine Anderson, Hunter Balentine, Jessie and James Pendergrass, Landon Griffin and Kylee Blewer; great-grandchildren, Zakahrya Anderson and Korah Luciano.
Janice enjoyed playing games on her cellphone, cooking for her family, she loved riding greyhound buses, and going to Tunica. She was also an avid wrestling fan and Alabama Football fan.
Family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mayson Price and grandsons.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Affinity Hospice, special nurse, Tori, whom Janice loved, and bath aid, Ty.
