CarlCarl O. Waller, 67, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 27, 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Neal Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Florence City Cemetery. Mr. Waller was a 1964 graduate of Lexington High School where he was a member and captain of the football team. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He was employed at Abbott Labs, North Chicago, Illinois for 8 years and was employed as a chemical lab tech with TVA, Sheffield, for 23 years. Mr. Waller was a member of TVFOA Football Association of Sheffield. Carl was a true man of his word. He loved, cared and supported his family. He was an avid fisherman. He loved to catch “them crappi”. He was known on the lakes as “The Spiderman”. He recently gave his heart to the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Lois Waller. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Lucy Maria Waller Daughter: Lori Brewer (Vic) Son: Landon Waller (Beckie) Sisters: Marilyn Price (Kenneth), Dean Flippo (Bob) Grandchildren: Bailey Brewer, Austin Waller and Alex Waller Pallbearers will be Don Flippo, Ed Flippo, Terry Blackstock, Bub Blackstock, Kenny Price, and Tommy Price. Honorary pallbearer will be Austin Waller. Special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Rose, and Francesca Renfro of Keller Hospice, Annie, David, Nancy and Jordan of Keller Hospital ICU, Donna Wallace and Cynthia Hurley of Keller PCU, Dr. David McKinley, and Drs. Hemant Patel and Patrick Daugherty of the Northwest Alabama Cancer Center.
