Ms. Jane Currie Webster, age 84, passed away on July 24, 2024 at Diversicare of Arab. Jane was born on August 18, 1939 in Boonville, North Carolina. She attended school at the Woman’s College at the University of North Carolina, now known as the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She graduated with a degree in accounting. She was dedicated to The Marine Corps League and American Legion along side of her husband.
Jane was an avid reader who enjoyed taking long walks, taking care of her cats, and supporting the University of North Carolina football and basketball teams.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Davis Fleming, Sr. and Fleeta Boyd Fleming; her husband, Given Boyd Webster; son, Ayers Webster; her sisters, Susan Alem and Phyllis Stroud; her brother, H. D. Fleming, Jr. She is survived by her son Boyd Webster and his wife, Karen.
The family has elected cremation with no public services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
