Mrs. Susan King, age 66, of Dora, passed away passed away July 17, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Sharon Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday at the church from 6 until 8pm.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents John and Jessie Peterson and sister Rebecca Dill. She is survived by her husband Bro. Ricky King, daughter Dawn (Scott) English, son Buddy (Kandace) King, grandchildren Sayge (Tayler) King, Autumn (Dalton) McAdams, Taylor King, Hunter (Ava) English, great granddaughter Millie McAdams, three sisters and very special caregiver Amanda Shook.
Susan was the most loving, caring woman known to her family. She “adopted” many children over the years of raising her own children. She taught the four-year-old Sunday school class at Sharon Heights Baptist Church for several years. She enjoyed preparing for VBS every year.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sharon Heights Baptist Church, 520 Bivens Brookside Road, Birmingham, AL 35214.
