David Lee Nunley of Hazel Green, Alabama died on Tuesday at home. He was 80.
Mr. Nunley was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia and raised in McMinnville, Tennessee and was a graduate of Irving College. He was retired from PPG Industries. A man of integrity, Mr. Nunley made his church home at Hazel Green United Methodist Church.
Mr. Nunley is survived by his son , Jason Nunley (Ashley) of Portland, Oregon; his daughter, Kellee Nunley Brennan (Conor) of Chappaqua, New York; his grandchildren: Madison Nunley, Vivienne Nunley, Austin Brennan, and Callum Brennan; his sisters: Lorraine Neidert (Mac) of Loretto, Tennessee and Janice Gillespie (Dicky) of McMinnville, Tennessee; He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Wann Nunley; by his parents: Reverend Willie B. & Mary Turner Nunley; his sister, Jeanne Comer (Richard); He is also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Callen Wann and Jimmy Wann.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2pm until 3pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 3:30pm at Stateline Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Smith of Hazel Green United Methodist Church officiating.
