Howard Watts, Jr. Howard Staton Watts, Jr., age 78, of Brentwood, Tennessee, died Monday, July 15, 2024, at Cloverland Park Senior Living.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Monday, July 22nd, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Randy Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service at 2:00PM.

Mr. Watts was born on August 2, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Howard, Sr. & Alice Reed Watts. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War. He worked for the Methodist Publishing House and later retired after 20 years from Athens Paper Company. After retiring, he continued to visit his son at the print shop because he loved the smell of paper. He loved golfing and visiting Savannah, Tennessee. Mr. Watts was a Christian and was very patriotic.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Inman Watts; and brother, Jarrett Watts.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Curry Watts; son, Keith Watts; step-daughters, Angela Curry (DJ) McKerrow; Jamie Curry (Rocky) Marvel; and Melanie Curry (Brian) Cage; grandson, Matthew Watts; 7 step-grandchildren; and niece & nephew, Ashley & Nathan.
