Mr. Donnie Ray Cupp, 65 of Florence passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a native of Baskin, Louisiana and a U.S. Army veteran.
Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2013 from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with burial in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. Malcolm Scott. Military funeral honors will be accorded at graveside.
Mr. Cupp is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, JoAnn Cupp, mother, Rebecca Cupp, and father, Chester Cupp.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Cupp of Florence and Brian Cupp(Selena) of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, two brothers, Billy and Jerry Cupp, two sisters, Shirley Rushing and Tressie Tyler and numerous friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers will be Larry Bevis, Larry Bevis Jr., David Wade, Mickie Glover, Chris Thompson, Corey Burleson, and Joey Woodham.
Donnie was a loving father who shared his passion for cars and drag racing with his family.
The family wishes to thank Ann Lenz and staff of Ala Care Hospice for their loving care.
