Richard Labron Nance was born in Madison County, Alabama on September 24, 1956 to the late Richard and Mamie Nance. He departed this life only July 7, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital.
Richard confessed hope in Christ and was baptized on January 8, 2023 at Douglas Tabernacle P.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Mario Ford.
Loves ones left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Janice Nance, one son, Gary Moore; two stepdaughters: Lavonda Mosley and Lashonda Mitchell (Cary); seven grandchildren: Jakari Moore, Gavin Moore, Karis Mitchell, Jaden Mitchell, Morgan Mitchell, Kimora Robinson, and Ashari Robinson; five siblings: Ira Nance, Ola Nance, Calvin Nance, Jacqueline Willie (Melvin), and Anthony Nance. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Douglas Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church (1429 Calvary Street, Huntsville, AL 35816) with Pastor Mario Ford officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mr. Nance will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2024 and 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
