Emmett J. Thrasher, age 74, of Sheffield, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. His family will receive friends, Thursday, 6 until 9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Charlie James officiating. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Huron TN.
Mr. Thrasher was a farmer and a member of Washington Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; Emmitt F. and Nancy Randolph Thrasher, one brother and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Thrasher; sons, Randy Thrasher (Cathy), of Keiser, AR, Steven Thrasher(Rachel), of Tuscumbia; daughters, Lorrie Griffin (Billy), of Osceola, AR, Belinda Christopher, of Luxora, AR, Cynthia Thrasher, of Sheffield; brothers, Aaron Thrasher, Berlon Thrasher, Erin Thrasher, Hillard Thrasher, Gary Thrasher, James Thrasher, and Billy Ray Thrasher; sisters, Audrey Watson, and Jeanette Nichols, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers are Randy Thrasher, Chris Griffin, Michael Griffin, Chad Griffin, Taylor Thrasher, Brandon Thrasher, Bryan Jones and Steven Thrasher.
