After a very lengthy illness, Steven Mark Anderson, 73, of Lenoir City, TN., passed away, peacefully, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at UT Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.
Steve was born on March 18, 1951, in Chattanooga, TN. Later he enlisted in the Navy and was on a nuclear submarine during the Vietnam area. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Wesleyan, in Athens, TN., and a Master’s Degree, from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, Georgia. Steve worked as a Health Physicist, in Oak Ridge. He was a member of the Health Physicist Society. Steve also worked for the State of Tennessee. Later he started his own company, Anderson & Associates, as a radiation safety technologist, for doctors & dentists.
Steve is survived by his wife Paulette Majors Anderson, of Lenoir City, TN. Steve was always happy to reveal, he and his wife were blind dates, he proposed on the second date, 3 months later, they married and were happily married for 42 years. They have one “fur baby”, Hunter Anderson. Survived by his sister, Sarah Anderson, Whiteside, TN, sister in law, Rita Anderson, Soddy Daisy, TN., brother in law, Johnny Majors (Teresa), Loudon, TN, and brother in law, Paul Majors, Scottsboro, AL., nephews & nieces, Mark Manning, Will Majors, Jennifer Agnew, Sonya, John T., and Jessica Anderson, and Katie Majors (Justin) Brogden. Preceded in death by father, Ernest Anderson, mother, Sarah Smith Anderson, sister, Donna Grant, brother, John F. Anderson.
