Mrs. Delores Fay Dowdy, age 55, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
Visitation will be noon-1:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Elkins East Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Butler Cemetery at 2 p.m., with Greg Reynolds officiating.
She was preceded by her parents, Paul Shickles and Leonard and Edna Jacobs. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Delores is survived by two sons, Jerome Dowdy and wife, Camby, and Johnny Lisby III; one daughter; Dawn Dowdy; one sister; Sarinda Combs; one brother, Steve Shickles; four grandchildren, Cassius King, Corbin Turbyfill, Cade and Presley Dowdy.
