Mrs. Catherine Cagle McCartney, 85, of Rogersville, Ala., died Friday, April 19, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Spry Funeral Home, Athens. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home, Athens.
She was born March 12, 1928, in Lauderdale County. She was a member of New Georgia Church of Christ in Rogersville. She was a homemaker and cosmetologist. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club for 40 years and held many offices including president.
She was preceded in death by parents, Alton and Vela Cagle; sister, Mildred Blackburn and husband, Harry; brothers, E.F. Cagle and wife, Willie T. Cagle, James Cagle.
Survivors include husband, James F.
