LondonMr. London Derrell Blackburn, Jr.
(March 6, 1979 – April 18, 2013)

A Precious one from us is gone

A voice we love is stilled

A place is vacant in the home

This can never be refilled

He will not be forgotten

Though on earth he is no more

But in Memory he is still with us

As he always was before.

We are very sad because our loved one has passed on but we are also rejoicing because we know that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. “ For the Lord does not abandon anyone forever.  Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion according to the greatness of his unfailing love. Lamentations 3:32

Though we try to prepare, we are never prepared enough, but there’s a compassionate God in heaven Who sees, Who cares, Who comforts.  Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, God has promised to be with us always and we know He is the “Great Promise-Keeper!”
