James Ray Sandlin – Obituary

James Ray Sandlin, 68, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born June 10, 1944 to the late Ray T. Sandlin and the late Mavis Christian Sandlin. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with children and grandchildren. He was a Deacon at Dorsey Baptist Church. He drove for Mueller Copper Tubing for 23 years and Wal-Mart Transportation for the past 15 years.

He is survived by his Wife, Sandra Sandlin of 41 years of Fulton, Daughter, Melissa (Duane) Cayson of Fulton, MS, Son, Joey (Lynette) Sandlin of Mooreville, Daughter, Alicia Louder of Greer, SC, Granddaughter, Samantha Crumb of Pickens, SC, Grandson, Frankie Crumb of Pickens, SC, Grandson, Zech Sandlin of Greenville, SC, Grandson, Austin Sandlin of Saltillo, Grandson, Clay Cayson of Fulton, Grandson, Cody Cayson of Fulton, Brother, Steve (Vickie) Sandlin of Tuscumbia, AL, Sister, Johnnie Chase (Randy Pannell) of Dorsey.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Ray T. Sandlin, Mother, Mavis Sandlin, sister-in-law, Janice Sandlin.

Pallbearers will be Gary Powell, Jerry Barrett, Harold Jumper, Michael Shumpert, Chris Smith, Matt Robertson, Kevin Harmon, Chris Wright.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Walden, Wal-Mart Drivers, Mueller Drivers.

Looking for picture of James Ray Sandlin to see if he is a driver I met many years ago at Taylorsville, Ind. Became good friends then lost track. Didn’t know he was sick and definitely didn’t know he passed super nice southern gentleman.
