Bill Bruce, 60, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
The graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Greenview Memorial Park. The Rev. Scott Coats, Rev. Joy Morgan and Rev. Mike Pope will officiate. The family will receive friends at Elkins Funeral Home Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Bill was a talented auto painter for over 30 years. He did excellent work and was concerned about his customers. He worked at Whitten’s Body Shop in Muscle Shoals the majority of his career.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Bill is survived by his wife Sandra Bruce, daughter Kelly Bruce, granddaughter Jaela Metcalf, all of Florence; sister Diane (Don) Robinson of Florence; brothers-in-law Jimmy Roden of Tuscumbia and Alan Ledgewood and wife Collins and family of Florence; very special friend and “brother” Jerry Elom; nieces Susan Roden, Sara Robinson and Katherine Robinson; nephews Michael Roden, Daniel Robinson and Ben Robinson; great niece Mary Nabors; great nephew Matthew Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Mildred Bruce, sister Barbara Roden, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Willie Bruce and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stewart.
Pallbearers will be Steve Stanfield, Michael Roden, Don Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Ben Robinson, Jimmy Roden, Alan Ledgewood and Matt Thompson. Jerry Elom will be an honorary pallbearer.
