Lula P. Mealer Holt, age 88 of Shelbyville, TN passed away April 5, 2024. Lula was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Shelbyville. She was the daughter of Mirel and Annie Mealer. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Allen J. Holt; brother, Earl Mealer; sister, Annis Claiborne; grandson, Shaun Smotherman. She is survived by her brother, Richard (Donna) Mealer; children, Margaret Smotherman and Stephen (Carlene) Holt; grandchildren, Britiny (John) Clark, Stephanie (Kris) Hettish, and Philip (Tiffany) Holt; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11AM Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holt Family Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Williamson County Animal Shelter.
