David Larry Fowler, born August 1, 1945 in Kendrick, MS, the son of the late Walter Forest Fowler and Nellie Flippo Fowler. Mr. Folwer deprted this life peacefully on February 27, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center at the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 26 days. He was united in marriage to his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Crabb on January 20, 1967.
David was in the National Guard from 1965 to 1971. He retired from Quartet after 36 years in 2003 after being on the assembly line and a foreman. David was a member of Butler’s Chapel Baptist church and was currently attending Gravel Hill Baptist church. David enjoyed his days riding motorcycles, working on old cars and trucks, watching WWE wrestling, and working in his garden. He enjoyed his time with his wife and family. He loved family get togethers and being the first person in line to make a plate. He loved catfish and crab legs, but Carolyn was the one ot break them for him because he did not like the mess.
David is survived by his wife, Carolyn; four sons, Shawn Fowler of Eastview, TN, Mark Fowler and wife Kellie of Selmer, TN, Matt Fowler and wife Beth of Selmer, TN, and Chris Jenkins and girlfriend Sadie of Rienzi, MS; 8 grandchildren: Shayne Fowler, Kara-Lea Fowler and fiancé’ Jamie Cooksey, Eli Fowler, Natalie Fowler and fiancé’ Blake Ray, Sawyer Fowler, Lillybeth Fowler, Luke Fowler, and Levi Fowler; four great grandsons: Cayden Jenkins, Jaxon Jenkins, Brandon Jenkins, and Manny Guare.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by two brothers: Stanley and WF Fowler; a daughter, Angie Fowler Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Lorie Russom Fowler.
