Christopher Madry Wilson, 55, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, February 9, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with Dr. Davy Kincaid officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Chris was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. He worked for twenty-eight years as a Locomotive Engineer at Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he received many accolades for his excellent service, and was a twenty-five year member of BLET Division 423. Chris was well-respected and loved by everyone. His smile would light a room and his great laugh was contagious. Chris was a loyal Bama fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Wilson, and sister, Tiffany Wilson.
Chris is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Wilson; children, Victoria Evans (Kennedy) and Tyler Wilson (Abby); father, Lynn Wilson; sister, Monica Wilson (Tommy); grandchildren, Harleigh Evans and Charlie Kate Evans; nieces, Taylor Beth Wilson and Linzie Wilson; and aunts, Sharon Vinson and Nancy Burden.
Pallbearers will be Andy Elledge, Bo Horton, Glenn Aderholt, Doug Tompkins, Ashley Rogers, Todd Sizemore, Bradley Malone, and Jason Hall. Todd Thompson, Jim Ellison, Mark Johnson, Clay Bendall, Bill Hutton, and the crew at Decatur Railyard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
