Mr. Thomas Lee McCoy was born May 18, 1957, to the late Annie Pearl Garth- McCoy in Lawrence County, Alabama. He departed this life on January 28, 2024, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama. He worked as a landscaper for 30 years until his health failed him.

Thomas is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Pearl McCoy; two brothers, Willie James McCoy, and Renardo McCoy; mother-in-law, Irene Porter; sister-in-law, Marilyn Mitchell; brother-in-law, Jason Porter.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

A loving wife, Anita McCoy; five daughters, Yolanda (Micheal) Amerson, Donna McCoy. Laquita McCoy, Christy (Darian) Little, and Latoria Porter; three bonus daughters, Zapporah Chatman, Shantia Stewart, and Fannie Little; one bonus son, Kanan Porter; seven grandchildren, Jakovia, Jaleah, Diamond, Deshawn, Zavier, Jakyrah, and DaKota; three sisters, Debbie (Fabian) Nance, Della (Eric) Lynch, and Tonya (Terrance) Langham; two brothers, Micheal (Sue Loise) McCoy, and Abe (Laquetia) McCoy; a caring father-in-law, Leslie Porter Sr.; sisters-in-law, Tynisha McCoy, Charlene (Frankie) Jones, Daphne Cooper, Vivian Jones, Wanda Boggus, Wendy Porter, and Renota Porter; Brothers-in-law, Lee King, Darrell (Charlotte) Porter Sr., Marlon Porter Sr., Leslie (Barbara) Porter Jr., and Fred (Jennifer) Porter Sr.; a special classmate & friend, Jessie Crutch; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
