Karla Jean McGee, 60, of Florence, passed away January 30, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center. Karla was a member of Brook Hills Church of Christ, Millwright local #1192 and Alabama Area of Chief’s of Police. She was an avid gardener and loved being in the garden. Karla had a great love for animals. She had a great smile and a great sense of humor.
Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2024, from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private family graveside service will be in Stony Point Cemetery. Officiating will be Dwight McGee, Wylie Deason, and Chris Daniel.
Pallbearers will be Isaac McGee, Ronnie Knight, Joe McGee, Lenis McGee, Silas McGee, and Owen McGee.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine McGee.
Karla is survived by her mother, Juanita McGee; father, Glenn H. McGee; son, Kristopher Glenn Rogers; daughter, Christian McGee; brother, Dwight McGee (Deborah); sister, Karen Knight (Ronnie); nieces, Katherine Gann (Sawyer), Elizabeth Guthrie (Josh); nephew, Isaac McGee (Jamie); grandniece, Joy Beth McGee; grandnephew, Josiah McGee; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
